Half of my pain is gone : wisdom teeth removal

Hello There!

Since my tooth has a hole, my doctor suggests that my tooth need to be extracted, not only causes by a hole actually, there is also malposition wisdom tooth at number 38.

But, wait..? did i heard tooth number 38?

I realized there is a number of each tooth, it is like a tooth ID on each tooth as well. There is also a distribution place name for each tooth side, which i don’t really familiar about it.

Ok, now it is getting more interesting..let’s do research 🔥.

FDI WORLD DENTAL FEDERATION

What is FDI? FDI stands for Fédération Dentaire Internationale, FDI was formed in the year 1900 in Paris, hence the original French name, making the Federation the second oldest international medical organization after the Red Cross.

There is an ISO (International Organizational for Standardization) for dental notation. it is called ISO 3950. This international standard provides a system for designating teeth or areas of the oral cavity using two digits.

TEETH POSITION AND ID

Here is the table of the teeth. There is an upper right, upper left, lower right and lower left. Those represent a direction that comes from your mouth side.

Ok, now let’s see my teeth after did some x-ray in one of hospital in Cibubur area.

You see, my tooth number 38 has a malposition! 😅 The angle has 90 degrees! that’s bad! And my tooth number 37 has a BIG hole, those 2 teeth will not be able to be maintained anymore 😩. The root cause of the pain here is only 2 teeth, which number 37 and 38!.

I had tried to have a tooth filling in my tooth number 37 since 2021, if i eat something flinty food like peanuts, the pain still there. It is something like i have postponed the pain instead of eliminating the pain. It was really painful! 😢

OKAY!! TOOTH EXTRACTION, I AM READY!

I finally dared myself to go to the hospital and get my tooth pulled, fingers crossed it goes well!

My teeth were extracted by an oral surgeon using anesthesia to numb the mouth area. The procedure took about 30 minutes, and the doctor mentioned that my tooth number 37 was hard to remove, so he had extracted carefully by slice it into pieces.

Pretty nasty, huh? 😇 But after that tiny operation, I feel so much better. Half the pain is gone! 🥰.
