Back to Makkah: A 4 Day Journey of Faith and Gratitude
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Alhamdulillah, Allah invited me again to His house. This 2-day Umrah journey was not just a trip, but a reminder, a recharge for the soul, and a moment to reconnect with what truly matters.
Here’s a simple story of our journey in Makkah.
Day 1 : Arrival & First Umrah
We arrived in Makkah with hearts full of gratitude. Seeing the Kaaba again… it felt different. More emotional, more peaceful.
We performed our first Umrah, followed by rest and spending more time in Masjidil Haram. The night ended with preparation for Tahajjud, a quiet and intimate moment with Allah.

Day 2 : Thaif Journey & Second Umrah
Later, we went for ziarah to Thaif a place rich in history and powerful lessons of patience.
We performed our miqat and made all the necessary preparations at the mosque in Qarnul-Manazil, Thaif before continuing our journey back to Makkah.
After returning, we completed our second Umrah.
It was a long day physically tiring, but deeply fulfilling. Every step felt worth it, filled with blessings that are hard to put into words.
Day 3 : Tahajjud & Exploring Makkah
We woke up early at 02:30 AM for Tahajjud prayer in congregation. The atmosphere was calm and deeply spiritual.
We visited historical places around Makkah, including Jabal Noor and the Museum of Revelation.
Standing near the place where the first revelation came down was truly humbling.
Day 4 : Tawaf Wada & Farewell
We performed Tawaf Wada, the farewell tawaf.
Every step felt heavier than before. It was not just walking around the Kaaba… it felt like saying goodbye to a place that had quietly healed my heart.
I tried to look at the Kaaba a little longer, as if I could keep that moment forever.
Leaving Makkah is never easy. Even now, I still remember that feeling..the silence, the tears, and the weight in my chest.
There is always a doa that stays in the heart:
“Ya Allah… don’t let this be my last visit. Please invite me again.”
Day 5 : Friday prayer , Preparing to Leave Makkah & Journey to Madinah
Friday in Makkah is always something special..the atmosphere, the crowd, and the beautiful unity of Muslims from all over the world.
We spent our time focusing on prayers, reflection, and making as many duas as possible.
But slowly, we started to feel it… the sadness of leaving.
Every prayer became more emotional. Every step in Masjidil Haram felt heavier, as if part of us didn’t want to leave.
Due to limited time, we performed Friday prayer at a mosque near the station before our departure.

We then continued our journey to Madinah using the high-speed train.
A new chapter begins… but Makkah will always remain in our hearts.
Umrah teaches us many things:
- Gratitude ✅
- Patience ✅
- Sincerity ✅
- And how small we are in front of Allah ✅
This 2/4 day Umrah experience in Makkah has taught me many things not only about faith, but also about family.
Experiencing this journey with my children is something I will cherish forever.

May Allah accept our ibadah and invite us again to His beautiful house.
Aamiin Ya Rabbal ‘Alamin.🤲
